Six years in the planning, the Shoreline Project at Bowmore is now on site. Promoted by Islay Estates Company, the project will deliver around 150 houses, employment opportunities and a mix of other uses.
The first phase of 20 affordable homes is under construction and making good progress towards completion by the end of March 2015. Funded by Argyll & Bute Council and the Scottish Government, these houses will be owned and managed by ACHA – Argyll Community Housing Association.
Urban Animation is now updating the Preliminary Master Plan for the Shoreline Project site, which we produced in association with Neil Sutherland Architects. Further phases of development are under discussion. We’ll provide more project updates as the development takes shape.
